What vital water is up against

Polluted Runoff

Runoff moves nutrients, metals and hydrocarbons into surface water faster than the receiving water body can process them, at a cost the US EPA puts at $1.1 billion to states. The load arrives at the water, not at a plant inlet, which is where it has to be met.

Eutrophication

Over 2,300 lakes and rivers are contaminated by nutrient loading that feeds algae faster than the system can clear it. A surface bloom does not end at the surface — algae, dead zones, sediments and sludge are all part of the same problem, and the sediment and sludge outlast the visible bloom.

Hypoxia

Without oxygen, aquatic life dies. Dissolved oxygen falls first below the surface layer, so stock, biomass and habitat are lost at depth while the top of the water column still reads normal.

Sabotage

Poisoning the well is an age-old war tactic, and the modern equivalent is a reservoir, an intake or a process pond rather than a well. Response speed decides the outcome, which favors a portable system that can be deployed in situ onto the affected water directly.

Axbold nanobubbles carry one of three gases, and the gas selected determines whether the water gets destruction, oxygenation or biological recovery.

Ozone Shreds Toxins

Ozone nanobubbles shred toxins, eviscerating them at the functional group level rather than binding, settling or diluting them. This is the mode used against stubborn contaminants such as heavy metals like selenium and arsenic, viruses, bacteria, surfactants, grease and plastic leachate, at up to 368 grams per minute of ozone, subject to generation capability.

Oxygen

Oxygen Improves Transfer Efficiency by 80,000 Times

Oxygen nanobubbles improve oxygen transfer efficiency by 80,000 times. Bubbles averaging 76 nm stay in solution for months instead of rising out of it, so dissolved oxygen holds throughout the water column rather than at the surface, at up to 245 grams per minute of oxygen, subject to generation capability.

Air Activates Aerobic Growth

Natural air nanobubbles activate aerobic growth for healthier water, restoring the biology that works through sediment and sludge without chemical dosing. Gas throughput runs at 90% mass transfer into the fluid, and by mass the platform delivers 222 grams per minute of air.

Desalus facilities integrate Axbold water security service. Desalus is a water & food security company that makes clean water and pure fertilizer from its zero-waste water treatment services offered to brackish water stewards including mines, municipalities and more. To address serious water and food security in challenging areas, Desalus relies on Axbold for important pre-treatment capabilities. That pre-treatment duty is the same capability described under mining and process water, water treatment and wastewater sterilization.

Mt. Woodson's Golf Course water healed in 80 days with 1 Axbold Nanobubbler on 1 of 5 ponds. That is remediation and mitigation duty, run as an Emergent program on one pond before anything wider is committed.

Both cases run on the same platform. Gas throughput is 171.9 LPM (45.4 GPM) with 90% mass transfer into the fluid. What separated a golf course pond from a pre-treatment stage inside a zero-waste treatment service was the gas selected and how long it ran, not the equipment, which is why one unit on one water body is enough to size whatever comes after it.
